Back to Square One! Or is it?
Hi everyone of my readers,
You are just gonna love this, I guarantee it.
There was I feeling really happy and smug, after all I was on the net again, even though on a mobile broadband package. Well a few seconds after posting the last blog, there I was back off the net. Is the whole world against me and my marketing programme I am beginning to wonder. It seems that the “three” sofware loaded into my nice new Sony Laptop was the cause of the problem all along. Not only did it stop working altogether but crashed my new computer into the bargain.
Today I took the complete package back to PC World and after much hassle and a wasted hour got a refund of my money, with the “3 contract” cancelled. Back to square one and wondering what to do next whilst I still patiently wait for my landline broadband connection to be sorted out. Will it ever happen I am beginning to ask myself?
In for a penny in for a pound I said, so off I trundled round the plethora of mobile phone shops in Hastings. There are quite a few of them in existence these days aren’t there? Having looked at a few and considering my options carefully I decided to give vodafone a try. I already have a couple of mobiles with them on a long standing contract of about 20 years. Sure enough they welcomed me with open arms when I enquired about mobile broadband as well. The guy in the shop was not only helpful, but very knowledgeable and I finally came away with a good deal on the new “Vodafone Mobile Broadband USB Modem Stick Lite.” Didn’t cost me a single penny up front as I was already contracted to them. Much better than that though, how about the following for a deal?
He informed me that I was eligible for an upgrade to both my phones and although I said I was not bothered about recieving any, as I was perfectly happy with the 2 I had already got in my business, I was told I could probably get a credit on my contract billing instead of new phone’s. Oh well go on then, nothing to lose so let’s have a look what you can do for me.
Boy Oh Boy was that one massive and brilliant decision. On the main phone I was entitled to a £250 billing credit and on the second phone an almost as impressive £150 billing credit. Seems like vodafone really want to keep my business. Well you could have knocked me down with a feather! £400 quid off my future bills and all just because PC World and three made a total lash up of everything sending me in search of something more concrete. Honestly I am not joking my friends, that really does say Four Hundred Pounds. At £15 per month for the new mobile contract it will pay for the Mobile Broadband alone for nearly 27 months or for the 2 phones and my broadband for over 7 months and nothing to pay up front.
OK so I haven’t got a brand spanking new Sony laptop to use, but as I am writing this on my own desktop computer and live on the web I reckon as things stand and providing they do not alter I need not care. Vodafone have come up trumps for me. So for now I am up and running properly if a little slow compared to a landline broadband package but at least I am climbing up the mountain again.
Just lately that MASSIVE MOUNTAIN has started to seem unachievable, but as I always said, never ever, ever surrender. Do not give in to temptation one iota. Don’t give up! Giving up is only for the weak in mind, body and spirit. Keep climbing higher and higher, keep striding further and further, just one step at a time is all it takes and before you know it all the obstacles are well and truly behind you, miles below at base camp.
This time after sorting everything out I hope to be catching up with John Thornhill’s programme. I need to get started on this week’s project, even though it is only 1 day until I recieve next week’s lesson. So with that in mind once again I am signing off and leave you all with this thought!
TAKE ACTION
I Really don’t care what sort of action you take just as long as it is COMPLETELY POSITIVE
and moves you onward and upward to reach the top of the mountain. Then you can ride the avalanche back down and reap the rewards of success.
Next time I want to talk about books. Old books, new books, craft books, ebooks, my books, your books, information books, illustrated books, in fact any books, even magazine’s.
It doesn’t matter what sort, but in the meantime think about the books or magazine’s that appeal to you, or that you own. Is there a book or magazine out there somewhere you know of, or can think of that is possibly worth a whole lot more than you would ever imagine. At this time you may not think so but… …
I know the answer is an enormous YES, soon you will too
Bye for now,
Dave Robus.
