HIP, HIP, HIP, but definitely NOT HOORAY

On the 22nd of June I placed my house up for sale with a very well known national estate agency. That is now just over  3 weeks ago as I write this blog post.

I have not blogged or written much lately, nor indeed have I had the time to concentrate on my internet business due to having to keep filling in stupid forms that the British Government say is designed to help people who want to sell their house. The reasoning behind the forms so they say is that they will speed up the sale process.

What a load of old cobblers!

Because here we are over three weeks later and the house is still not on the open market.

Due to all the new and as far as I am concerned government stupidity the estate agent is forbidden by the law to put my house up for sale or even to offer it to a prospective purchaser without the necessary HIP

(that’s a Home Information Pack) to you, me and all the sane people in the country.

Of course to the government bureaucrats it is (Hyped in Pigheadedness) and is just another very lucrative form of taxation for them, which all house would be sellers now have to pay. In my case about £400

Plus the added Value Added Tax at another 15% on top.

Now what value is there in slowing a sales process down?

What a total con and far from speeding up the process it has so far slowed it down by over three weeks.

Not only that but the solicitor will still have to answer all of the same questions and who the hell is going to look at the Hip anyway. My estate agent tells me nobody bothers because all of the usual searches still have to be carried out legally by the buyers solicitors on their behalf,  so even more form filling and questions to answer, which as I am already finding out are exactly the same questions but just on different forms.

I am posting this on my blog only to serve as a warning to you all, that if you want to get anything done in life, take absolutely no notice whatsoever of what a bureaucrat tells you, because he is nothing other than a very expensively paid paper shuffler: paid of course out of the taxation that is raised from all of us honest citizens who are trying to get on with our lives in the most effective way that we see fit.

Sorry to burden my loyal readers with this rant, but I am damned annoyed that just a few months ago I could have probably sold my house without interference (and extra taxation) whereas now I have to wait a few weeks extra while the ridiculously stupid British Government tells me it is speeding things up for the good of all concerned. Well the quicker they speed up their own demise so much the better.

I hope to be back in business as soon as possible, with some decent and lucrative recommendations for you all.

Best regards,

Dave.

PS: On a much lighter note, I hope to let you all know very soon about a fifteen year old lad that is starting to make a name for himself after studying my book about the public domain. Yes fifteen year old Ben has taken the concepts in Old Books Make Money and has started turning them into a lucrative website. I believe that in just a few short years he will be amongst the so called Guru’s of the Internet.

More on this to follow as soon as I get a few more ridiculous forms completed and help to keep the government in the luxurious lifestyle to which they have become accustomed by re-inventing the wheel and turning it into a square one so that it rolls extremely quickly to a standstill.

Cheers to all.
