Yippee I’m Back in Business

Hi Dave here again,

I just had to get on here and write a few lines tonight.

Following up on my post dated Friday 1st August concerning my Internet Nightmare. That’s almost five weeks without broadband and mountains of hassle into the bargain.

I promised after a while never to mention the problems again until it was all sorted out.

Well here we are my loyal readers, guess what??? IT IS SORTED. Just in case you didn’t here me and as I’m pleased as punch, I’ll say it again. IT IS SORTED!

Yep that’s it I’m up and running again with a full Broadband connection. After a great deal of heart ache and headaches, dozens of phone calls at phenominal cost, to call centre’s all over the world let alone England, at about 2.15pm this afternoon I was finally connected.

This problem caused by Orange, has taken hours of work by a computer consultant, employed by me at a horrendous cost to finally get sorted out and come to a conclusion.

I have had to use the services of OFTEL, or is it OFCOM? I’ve begun to lose track as there have been so many things to sort out. I also had to make several telephone calls to the BT Chairman’s office, who have been very helpful indeed, but at the end of the day even they couldn’t get things put to rights very quickly. It seems to me that orange are a law unto themselves, with almost nobody employed who can make a decision to get problems sorted out quickly and without hassle for the customer.

Whatever happened to…”The customer is always right?” He or she certainly isn’t as far as Orange are concerned. They couldn’t care less.

A word of warning! Before you ever think of changing broadband supplier’s.

Thinks very carefully indeed, you could land into all sorts of problems that are not caused by yourself. In fact from my own experience I would say, unless you have to change,

DO NOT DO IT! End of the matter I think

Enough anyway for now. I no longer have to use my niece’s laptop, no more going up the road with a memory stick and transferring files from one computer to another. I can now work at home and hopefully catch up with my marketing from John Thornhill’s amazing programme.

From now on I am back up to speed, literally. Back to work I can now get in the hope that very soon you will be able to climb the mountain to the very top with me and slide back down on the avalanche of money that is waiting to be gathered up there.

From now on I hope to be able to carry on with my passion for Old Book Searching at a much faster rate.

Watch this space until next time

Bye for now,

Dave.
